A Note From Cheryl

Aracelis June 2010.jpg

Recently, I spent some time with Aracelis and Andrelle, two girls we met at Harrisburg Hospital while filming a new Caitlin’s Smiles promotional DVD by Fry Films. Both girls were happy to receive a Bag of Smiles and were excited to make some art!

Children like Aracelis and Andrelle from across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and other mid-Atlantic states have their hospital stays brightened by a gift from Caitlin’s Smiles. We’ve just added a few more facilities to our delivery list: St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, Akron Children’s Hospital – Beeghly Campus and Toledo Children’s Hospital in Ohio.

Thank You's For This Month
We constantly receive thank you notes, stories and other remembrances from the families whose lives we’ve impacted by serving smiles to children and families in need.

Here are two notes we recently received:

It is our sincere pleasure to thank you, on behalf of our patients and staff, for the delightful activity bags donated to our patients at Harrisburg Hospital. You have created a touching outreach for parents and children and made their hospital visits less stressful. These gifts were heartfelt gestures of kindness. Imagine the difference you make for our patients. The goodwill you generate will be remembered for a long time.

Thank you for partnering with our hospital to make many lives a little better.

Dear Caitlin's Smiles,

Hi my name is Meg. I was in the hospital with serious back problems. When the nurse brought in your special bag, I was so happy. It brought a smile to my face. I was overjoyed. I actually had something to do since I wasn't allowed to walk. It gave me something to pass the time. It means so much to me that you took the time to do this. So I wrote you a poem to say thanks.

It is not fun to be in the hospital all day.
But your gift made a better stay.
I'd like to thank you in every way.

Thanks again,
