Thank you for participating in the walk and raising funds for Caitlin’s Smiles through the Highmark Walk for A Healthy Community. The event site is HACC-Harrisburg Campus. Event day is Saturday, May 21st. Registration begins at 7:30 am. Walk Opening Ceremony takes place at 8:45 am. Walk/Run begins at 9:00 am. There is a 5K course and a 1 mile course.
Please check in at the Caitlin’s Smiles tent when you arrive. We are tent #8 as seen in the diagram below.
Highmark will be providing water, coffee, bananas & granola bars for walkers.
Parking/Traffic: Parking will be available once again this year free of charge around campus. Lots will open at 6am for staff, volunteers, those responsible for setting up tents. Lots will fill quickly for participants, so please arrive early.
Donations: If you have any donations that you have not turned it yet, you can bring them to the walk to give directly to Caitlin’s Smiles
T-shirts: Participants/walkers will need to check in at our tent to confirm that you’ve raised at least $30 to receive a Highmark Walk T-shirt. Participants who have raised at least $100 will receive at Caitlin’s Smiles T-shirt. To get your Highmark T-Shirt, Walkers can then proceed to the T-shirt tent to claim their shirt once check in and receive the stamp. (You must be in attendance to claim your shirt). Highmark Walk shirts will only be given to walkers who come to the walk on Saturday.
Pet Friendly / Stroller Friendly: Dogs are to come to the walk as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. The walk route is also very stroller friendly and flat.
Smoking Policy: As a walk to promote healthy activities within our community, walkers are asked to refrain from smoking during this year’s event.
