Caitlin’s Smiles kicks off the start of summer by announcing additional volunteer sessions at its Harrisburg office.
“Join us this summer to make craft kits for hospitalized children! We want to offer families the opportunity to volunteer during their school vacation,” said Cheryl Hornung, Founder and Director of Caitlin’s Smiles. “Kids can volunteer for us in the morning, and head to the pool in the afternoon!”
Four special volunteer sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, June 9; Wednesday, June 24; Tuesday, July 7; and Tuesday, August 11 — from 10 am to 12 noon at the Caitlin’s Smiles office on 3303 North 6th Street, Harrisburg, PA. Adults, teens and elementary school-aged children are all welcome to volunteer. Children age 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent. Each volunteer should bring a box of ziplock baggies (sandwich or snack sizes) to donate. Pre-registration is a must due to space limitations, so please call 717-412-4759 or email frontdesk.caitlinssmiles@comcast.net.
The regular monthly evening/weekend sessions are also available for those who are not available during weekdays. Pre-registration is required for these sessions, also. Groups and individuals looking for other volunteer times should contact the organization.
