The nonprofit celebrated its 10th anniversary on a Thursday evening in 2007 with a public open house at its facility at 3303 N. Sixth St., Harrisburg. Festivities included assembly stations to decorate Bags of Smiles for hospitalized children, a scavenger hunt through the facility, birthday cake and a visit from Santa Claus. There was a pre-celebration party for bag recipients and their families. The event was also held to recognize loyal volunteers and donors.
