Santa joined with good little boys and girls to send smiles to children in medical facilities. The Key Club of Conrad Weiser High School in Robesonia, PA, held a winter event where they invited their elementary school counterparts to help with a service project for Caitlin’s Smiles.
Santa took a break from his important work at the North Pole to make a special appearance at the Key Club event and decorated a bag to give, too. While there, he shared with the participants how good it feels to give to others. He told them that he likes to take care of all the boys and girls who are spending time in hospitals and asked the students to help him that day.
Key club members set up activities where the kids could help with the process of serving the children in medical facilities. Their tasks consisted of creating cards of encouragement and decorating paper bags that will hold the contents of the Bags of Smiles. Each child brought an item with them that could be placed into the bags as well. The children had a wonderful time working on their activities and were especially touched by Santa’s visit. This Key Club event helped their elementary school students understand the value of giving back without expecting anything in return.
Thank you Key Club of Conrad Weiser High School for hosting this wonderful event.
