The conditions for A Round of Smiles this year were as good as they could be at Sportsman’s Golf Course on Friday, May 3rd. One hundred eager participants arrived at the course on a breezy day with temperatures in the 70’s. At registration, they bought mulligans and the move up hole as well as 50/50 raffle tickets. A putting contest was also available for those who wished to participate. Golfers were treated to soft pretzels prior to the start of the event. Snack Sponsor Karns Foods brought a nice variety of snacks and beverages to keep the duffers energized all day. Vickie Geesaman of Edward Jones was the Beer Sponsor. Willowbranch Financial Group was the Golf Ball Sponsor.
After a long day on the greens, golfers arrived at the pavilion for a delicious steak dinner. Awards for the day were presented for Longest Drive on Hole 7 and Closest to the pin on Hole 9. Thanks to Karns Foods, Unique Snacks, and Scocik Chiropractic for donating gift baskets for the event. Awards were also presented for the top 4 scoring teams for the day. Thanks to Hershey Country Club, West Shore Country Club, Colonial Golf & Tennis Club and Harrisburg Country Club for providing prizes for our teams.
