Books A Million’s York store (3000 Whiteford Rd., York) is collecting donations of books & toys from their customers for Caitlin’s Smiles. The collection is in full swing and will continue through early December. Associates at the store will accept toy and book donations purchased in their store from the customers. The books, toys and other items are used in our outreach to children spending time in medical facilities. This collection supports our Bag of Smiles and Coping Kit Programs. A new toy or book is placed into each Bag of Smiles proved to a child staying. A small toy is placed into each Coping Kit provided to kids spending time at Same Day Surgery Units, ERs, and other medical facilities.
The collection started in October and will continue through early December. Cashiers at the store will accept donations of books and toys purchased at their store by customers. This outreach benefits tens of thousands of children spending time in medical facilities every year. BAM York and their customers have been helping with our outreach for many years now through their holiday season book & toy drives.
