The Central Pennsylvania Kings Basketball Team recently took time away from their rigorous practices to volunteer at Caitlin’s Smiles. Kings players, staff, and family members pitched in throughout the facility by decorating bags, assembling craft kits, and decorated cards – all of which are being sent to the hospitalized kids served by our organization. They also helped out in our warehouse by packing coping kits and weighing boxes to be shipped to hospitals. Players also took time to sign basketballs and meet up with one of our Caitlin’s Smiles kids, Joshua, and his mother.
Caitlin’s Smiles will be a part of the excitement at the Kings’ home games. Fans can donate coloring books for hospitalized kids at home games and are invited to create greeting cards at the games. The cards will then be placed into Bags of Smiles and Coping Kits to be sent to pediatric patients throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond. Participating fans will receive a raffle ticket that gets them a chance to win Kings memorabilia. For more information about the Kings, visit their website.
