Join the friends, volunteers, and supporters of Caitlin’s Smiles for the annual Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 3, from 5 to 8 pm, to celebrate the holidays and a successful year. The Holiday Open House will be held at the Caitlin’s Smiles office at 3303 N. 6th Street in Harrisburg.
Founder and Director Cheryl Hornung states, “We wish to thank our sponsors, donors, and volunteers for a year of generous giving. Our office will be filled with holiday cheer, complete with refreshments, music, silent auctions, volunteering, and tours.” All community members are welcome to attend the event.
For those wishing to donate this holiday season, Caitlin’s Smiles has produced a list of needed items: Play-Doh®, magic markers, crayons, coloring or activity books, sketch pads for teens, macramé hemp, plastic lacing/gimp, embroidery floss, pencils, ink pens, pony beads, Ziploc® baggies in snack and sandwich sizes, and gift cards from area craft and office supply stores.
Caitlin’s Smiles delivers arts and crafts kits to children facing chronic or life-threatening illnesses, and donations will be used to fill “Bags of Smiles” craft packages. Since 2004, Caitlin’s Smiles has brought smiles to the faces of more than one million children.
